Wiring Diagram for the Tilt Sensor
Identify the wires for the Tilt sensor. The Tilt sensor is located on the rear of the base assembly or the front of the base assembly for the Implement Joystick. Refer to Illustration 18.
Lift the Implement Joystick. Remove the 4-pin connectors for the vehicle harness from both sensors.
Disconnect the controller from the 12-pin connector for the machine harness.
Remove the Implement Joystick from the mounting for the Implement Joystick.
Remove the 136-9137 Cover Assembly and discard the 136-9137 Cover Assembly .
If the implement joystick for the machine has not been updated, install the 218-2137 Wiring Harness to the existing machine harness connector.
The connectors for the 218-2137 Wiring Harness must be changed in order to connect to the new Implement Joystick. The two 173-3047 Connector Plug Assembly for the existing Implement Joystick will be eliminated from the machine wiring harness. Remove the 173-3049 Wedge and remove the 173-3050 Wedge .
Lift the locking mechanism in order to remove the outer portion of the wedge assembly.
Lift the locking legs for the sockets.
Slide the wires out of the connector.Wires from the two 4-pin connectors will be combined into one 6-pin connector and one 2-pin connector.

Insert wire "197-GN" into position 1 of the 155-2274 Connecting Plug Kit (6-pin connector).
Insert wire "210-BK" into position 2 of the 6-pin connector.
Insert wire "H711-GN" into position 3 of the 6-pin connector.
Insert wire "H710-PK" into position 5 of the 6-pin connector.

Insert wire "197-GN" into position 1 of the 155-2270 Connecting Plug Kit (2-pin connector).
Insert wire "210-BK" into position 2 of the 2-pin connector.Note: The wires in Step 14.e and Step 14.f are not required with the new implement joystick.
Insert the two 8T-8737 Seal Plugs into the 102-8802 Receptacle Kit .
Connect the 102-8802 Receptacle Kit to the 155-2270 Connecting Plug Kit (2-pin connector).
Attach the new 242-6188 Base to the 188-7097 Cover Assembly with the following parts:
Two 8T-4121 Hard Washers
Two 8T-4137 Bolts
Install the two 216-7352 Screws into the 242-6187 Bracket .

(1) Rubber Boot (2) 8T-0269 Bolt
Install the four 8T-0269 Bolts (2) into the base for the joystick. Pull the rubber boot (1) upward in order to gain access to the bolt (2). Refer to Illustration 21.
Attach the control to the base by pulling the rubber boot (1) to one side. Use a 5 mm Hex wrench to tighten the bolts (2) .

(1) Rubber Boot (2) 8T-0269 Bolt
Insert the rubber boot (1) back into the slot on the implement joystick. Refer to Illustration 22.

Insert the rubber boot (1) into the groove (4) at the bottom of the handle. Refer to Illustration 23.
Connect the 6-pin harness on the controller to the modified machine harness.
Connect the 12-pin harness on the controller to the 12-pin machine
