Connect a suitable floor jack (2) to front differential and bevel gear (1), as shown. Place a piece of bar stock between the bottom of the front differential and bevel gear assembly and the floor jack. The bar stock will prevent the axle housing from making contact with the floor jack.
Install an O-ring seal on the carrier assembly. Coat the O-ring seal with clean oil.

Lift front differential and bevel gear (1) with floor jack (2). Align front differential and bevel gear (1) with the opening in the axle housing. Push the front differential and bevel gear (1) into the axle housing.
Install bolts (3) and the washers that hold front differential and bevel gear (1) into the axle housing. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 130 30 N m (95 22 lb ft). Each bolt (3) should then be turned an additional 120 degrees 10 degrees. Remove floor jack (2) .

Place the hydraulic hoses in position on the frame. Install bracket (6), bolts (5) and bolts (4) with the washers.

Install yoke (7) on the front differential. Yoke (7) is a slip fit.

Install bolts (8) that attach the tube assembly and the hose assembly to the front differential and bevel gear. Connect the temperature sensor to the axle housing. Install the guard for the temperature sensor.

Connect brake tube assembly (10) to the wheel assembly. Install two plates (9) that hold the brake tube assembly in position.
Purge air from the brake system. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing, and Adjusting Manual, SENR5733, "Remove Air From Brake System".
Start the machine. Raise the lift arm assembly. Remove Tooling (A) .
Raise the front of the machine. Remove the wood blocks under the front tires. Lower the machine to the ground.End By:
Install the front drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, " Drive Shaft (Front) - Remove and Install" .
Install the center drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Drive Shaft (Center) - Remove and Install" .
Install the front axle shafts. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Axle Shaft - Remove and Install" .
