Ensure that service code CID 0168 FMI 01 is on hold and the fault present indicator shows "SERV CODE".
Check the battery voltage.
Start the engine and run at high idle for several minutes.
Measure the battery voltage at the battery posts.Expected Result: The voltage is at or above 18.0 DCV.Results:
YES - Voltage is at or above 18.0 DCV. The battery voltage is correct. Proceed to Step 2.
NO - Voltage is below 18.0 DCV. The charging system is not correct. Check the charging system. See Testing and Adjusting, SENR2947, "Starting And Charging System" in the Service Manual for the machine. STOP.
Check the system voltage at the ECM.
The engine must be running at high idle.
Use 7X-1710 Multimeter Probe Group. Locate the implement ECM harness connector. Measure the system voltage between wires 146-GY and A272-BK at contacts J1-1 and J1-6, and at contacts J1-2 and J1-5.Expected Result: The voltage is below 18.0 DCV.Results:
YES - Voltage is below 18.0 DCV. The harness is not correct. Repair the harness or replace the harness. STOP.
NO - Voltage is at or above 18.0 DCV. The system voltage is correct. Check to make sure service code CID 0168 FMI 01 is still present. Disconnect the ECM harness connector and inspect contacts J1-1,6 and J1-2,5. Connect the harness connector to the ECM. If the fault is present, replace the ECM. See Testing And Adjusting, "Electronic Control Module (ECM) - Replace". STOP.
