Information:
1. Remove flashing (3) and the channel, and remove the flashing plate from the front of the machine.2. Remove side trough (1) and center trough (2). 3. Turn the drag conveyor adjusting nuts to relieve the chain tension.4. Remove rivet (6) and pin (5) from each side of drag conveyor chain assembly (4). Move both ends of the drag conveyor chain assembly out of the way. 5. Remove front hardliner (7). 6. Loosen the two setscrews in the hub of outboard sprocket (9). Slide outboard sprocket (9) 10 to 12.7 cm (4 to 5 in.) away from outboard bearing (8), then tighten the two setscrews.7. Disconnect lubrication hose (12) from inboard bearing (11). Cap or plug all openings.8. Remove adjusting nut (13) from inboard bearing take-up rod (14).
To avoid damage to outboard bearing (8) keep the weight of the sprockets supported by the lifting device.
9. Attach a lifting device to shaft (10) to support the weight of both sprockets and the shaft. The total weight of the sprockets and shaft is approximately 54 kg (120 lb.).10. Loosen the two setscrews in the collars of outboard bearing (8) and inboard bearing (11).11. Slide shaft (10) toward outboard bearing (8) until the shaft is clear of inboard bearing (11). Tighten the two setscrews in the collar of outboard bearing (8).12. Slide inboard bearing (11) rearward until it is free of track (15) and remove the inboard bearing from the machine. The following steps are for installation of the drag conveyor front shaft inboard bearing.13. Position inboard bearing (11) on track (15) until it is aligned with shaft (10).14. Loosen the two setscrews in the collar of outboard bearing (8). Slide shaft (10) into inboard bearing (11) until the outboard end of the shaft is flush with the outboard side of outboard bearing (8).15. Tighten the two setscrews in the collars of outboard bearing (8) and inboard bearing (11). 16. Loosen the two setscrews in outboard sprocket (9). Position the sprocket so that the distance from the edge of mainframe (16) to the centerline of outboard sprocket (9) is 4.76 cm (1.875 in.) (dimension X). Tighten the two setscrews in the hub of the sprocket.17. Loosen the two setscrews in inboard sprocket (17). Position the sprocket so that the distance from the centerline of mainframe (18) to the centerline of inboard sprocket (17) is 12.3 cm (4.875 in.) (dimension Z). The distance from the centerline of outboard sprocket (9) to the centerline of inboard sprocket (17) should be 39.3 cm (15.5 in.) (dimension Y). Tighten the two setscrews in the hub of the sprocket.18. Install adjusting nut (13) on inboard bearing take-up rod (14).19. Connect lubrication hose (12) to inboard bearing (11). Lubricate the inboard and outboard bearings. See the Operation And Maintenance Manual.20. Install front hardliner (7).21. Move the front end of drag conveyor chain assembly (4) over the front sprockets and lay the end of the assembly on the hardliner.22. Align the front and rear ends of the drag
