G399 Natural Gas EnginesTwo new dust covers are available for use on the rear power take-off clutches used on those engines shown above. These covers can be installed on the bottom of the clutch housing to keep dust out of the clutch housing.
The new 4W2958 Cover can be used on the Twin Disc IBF318 Clutch Housing. The new 4W2959 Cover can be used on the Twin Disc IBF321 Clutch Housing.
To install the new covers over the opening (slot) in the bottom of the clutch housing, eight holes must be drilled and tapped in the clutch housing. Use the dust cover as a template to determine the location of the eight 5.20 mm (.203") holes. Use a 1/4"-20 NC tap to put threads in these holes.
Put 3S6252 RTV Silicone Adhesive/Sealant on the surface of the dust cover that will make contact with the clutch housing. Use eight S1614 Bolts and eight 4B5269 Washers to fasten the new covers in place.
