C     155-3597     Wheel Chock     4    Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Install bracket (19), nuts (18), and cam (20) onto plate assembly (15). Tighten nuts (18) to a torque of 198 28 N m (146 21 lb ft).

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Install brake shoes (14), spring (13), and brace (17) onto plate assembly (15) .
Use Tooling (B) to install springs (16) onto plate assembly (15) .

Install reaction arm (12) and bolt (11) .

Install brake assembly (10) and bolts (9). Tighten bolts (9) to a torque of 300 40 N m (221 30 lb ft).

Install yoke (8), plate (7), and bolt (6) .

Install brake drum (4) and bolts (3). Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 105 20 N m (77 15 lb ft).Note: Brake drum (4) needs to be installed with the brake adjustment hole in alignment with the notch on the outside diameter of the yoke. For further information on adjusting the parking brake, refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Parking Brake - Adjust".

Install Tooling (A) onto brake actuator (2). Use Tooling (A) to extend the yoke on brake actuator (2) and install pin (5) .
Release the pressure on Tooling (A) and remove Tooling (A) from parking brake actuator (2) .

Install hose assembly (1) on parking brake actuator (2) .
Fill the power train with clean oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities".
Remove Tooling (C) from the wheels of the machine.End By: Remove the center drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Center) - Remove and Install".
