START BY:a. remove transmission oil pump and hydraulic control valve (3F/1R)1. Remove the three bolts that hold the pump on the valve. Remove the pump. 2. Remove the drive gear from the pump with tool (B). 3. Remove the four bolts that hold the cover to the body.4. Remove body (1) from cover (3). Remove the two gears from the cover.5. Remove bearings (2) from the cover and the body with tool (A).Assemble Transmission Oil Pump (3F/1R)
1. Inspect all parts for wear or damage, and replace them if necessary.2. Lubricate all parts with clean transmission oil during assembly.3. Use tooling (A), and install the bearings in the cover and the body. Install the bearings until they are 1.5 0.5 mm (.06 .02 in.) below the surface.4. Install the gears in the cover. Install the body on the cover. Install the four bolts that hold the body and the cover together.
The end of the pump gear shaft must be supported from below when pressing on gear (1).
5. Heat gear (1) to a maximum temperature of 150°C (300°F). Install gear (1) on the shaft of the pump gear.6. The pump must turn freely and have a minimum clearance of 1.52 mm (.060 in.) between gear (1) and the pump housing.7. Install the pump on the control valve. Install the three bolts that fasten it to the valve. Tighten them to a torque of 34 4 N m (25 3 lb.ft.).END BY:a. install transmission oil pump and hydraulic control valve (3F/1R)
