When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.

PROBLEM
Certain 8N-3378, 131-2183, 7E-9632, 165-3817, 4P0558, 113-4650, 113-1581, 132-9331, and 132-9326 Air Filter Groups were manufactured in certain facilities between 07 June, 2010 and 15 October, 2010 using a process that may result in shortened life of the filter element.
ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect the Packaging Date Code / Supplier Code on all 8N-3378, 131-2183, 7E-9632, 165-3817, 4P-0558, 113-4650, 113-1581, 132-9331, and 132-9326 Air Filter Groups in Dealer Parts Stock. The date code is represented as D##M##Y##, where D = Day, M = Month, and Y = Year. The supplier code is the last seven digits of the code.
- If the Packaging Date Code on the filter group IS from, and including, 07June2010 to 15October2010, and the Supplier Code IS D4726B0, (D07M06Y10D4726B0 to D15M10Y10D4726B0), remove the filter group from dealer parts stock.
- If the filter group Packaging Date Code IS NOT from, and including, 07June2010 to 15October2010, or the supplier code IS NOT D4726B0, mark the package to indicate it has been inspected acording to this program (PI7####) and return to dealer parts stock.

SERVICE CLAIM ALLOWANCES
Submit one claim for all parts removed from dealer parts stock.
PARTS DISPOSITION
For NACD locations, handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. A parts Return Request will be issued when filing the claim using this program (PI7####) as the part causing failure.
For Non-NACD locations, do not return parts removed from dealer parts stock. Handle parts in accordance with Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
