Release the pressure from the hydraulic system before any lines are removed or disconnected.
Typical Example1. Drain the hydraulic tank.2. Identify and disconnect lines (1), (2), (3), (4) and (5).3. Remove two bolts (6) that holds the valve to the frame.4. Remove flow control and relief valve (7). The following steps are for the installation of the flow control and relief valve.5. Put flow control and relief valve (7) in position on the frame with the two bolts (6) that hold it.6. Connect lines (1), (2), (3), (4) and (5) to the flow control and relief valve.7. Fill the hydraulic tank to the correct level. See the Maintenance Manual.Disassemble Flow Control & Relief Valve
Start By:a. remove flow control and relief valve 1. Remove three fittings (1) from valve body (2). A small amount of spring force is present. 2. Remove plug (3), O-ring (4), spool (5) and spring (6) from the valve body. 3. Remove connector (1), O-ring seal (10), plunger (13), O-ring seal (14) and spring (12).4. Push seat (7) into the valve body. Remove ring (9).5. Install a 1/4"-20 NC bolt into seat (7). Remove seal and O-ring seal (8).Assemble Flow Control & Relief Valve
1. Check the O-ring seals for wear or damage. Make a replacement if necessary. Put a small amount of clean hydraulic oil on the O-ring seals and all machined surfaces of the parts.2. Install seat (1), O-ring seal (2) and ring (3) into the valve body. 3. Install spring (4), plunger (5), O-ring seal (6), O-ring seal (7) and connector (8). 4. Install spring (9), spool (10), O-ring seal (11) and plug (12) into the flow control and relief valve body. 5. Install the O-ring seal on fittings (13).
