The switch is a double pole single throw (DPST) switch. The switch has two circuits (N/O and N/C) for diagnostic purposes. If the two circuits are ever in the same state (floating or grounded), the ECM knows a circuit failure is present and a service code for the switch is logged. See Systems Operation, "Diagnostic Operation" for more information. The purpose of the parking brake switch is to tell the ECM the state of the operator's parking brake switch. The ECM uses the information for the parking brake operation of the propel function. When the operator places the switch in the set position, the N/O circuit is closed to ground and the N/C circuit is open. When the operator places the switch in the off position, the N/O circuit is open and the N/C circuit is closed to ground. Rotor Control Switch

Rotor Control SwitchThe switch is a single pole single throw (SPST) switch. The switch has two circuits (NO, NC) for diagnostic purposes. If the two circuits are both in the same state (open or closed to ground), the ECM knows a circuit failure is present and a service code for the switch is logged. See Systems Operation, "Diagnostic Operation" for more information. The purpose of the rotor control switch is to tell the ECM the state of the operator's rotor control switch (On or Off/Reset). The ECM uses the information for the rotor control function. When the switch is in the ON position, the NC circuit is closed to ground and the NO circuit is open. When the switch is in the Off/Reset position, the NC circuit is open and the NO circuit is closed to ground. Lift Lock Switch

The switch is a single pole single throw (SPST) proximity switch. There are not diagnostics for this switch. The purpose of the lift lock switch is to tell the ECM the state of the rotor lift lock (locked, unlocked). The ECM uses the information for the rotor depth control function. When the lift lock is in the unlocked position, the circuit is closed to ground.. When the lift lock is in the locked position, the circuit is open.. Rotor Depth Mode Switch

If the two circuits are in an invalid state (both circuits open), the ECM knows a circuit failure is present and a service code for the switch is logged. The purpose of the rotor depth mode switch is to tell the ECM the state of the operator's rotor depth mode switch (Travel, Manual, Work). The ECM uses the information for the rotor depth function.
