If replacement is required, it is recommended that the new cab and module be changed as a complete unit. However, the cab may be changed separately in situations where there is no damage to the module or where the module damage is minimal. See procedure and illustrations for modification.
Cab Mounting Procedure
1. Install 7G1785 (1) and 7G1786 (2) Plate Assemblies, to module with six 5S7379 Bolts (3) and 5P1075 Washers (4). Three bolts and washers for each plate assembly. Snug up bolts. DO NOT tighten at this time. See Illustrations 1, 3 and 4.

Illustration 4. Section B-B.2. Install 7G1744 Plate (5) to the module with two 8T2502 Bolts (6) and 5P1075 Washers (4). Snug up bolts. DO NOT tighten at this time. See Illustrations 1, 3 and 5.
Illustration 5. Section C-C.3. Cement 9P2261 Seal (7) to plate assemblies (1) and (2) with 5H2471 Cement. See Illustration 4.4. Install 9P2262 Seal (8) to plate (5). See Illustration 5.5. Install cab with 5P7511 Seal (9) attached to the module. Check to assure that seal (9) is correctly positioned between the cab and module. See Illustrations 2, 6, 7 and 8.6. Install 12-6J2515 Bolts (10) and 20-3H7654 Washers (11). DO NOT tighten bolts at this time. See Illustrations 2, 6 and 7.

Illustration 7. Section F-F. Bolts across the back of cab.7. Install four 310228 Bolts (12) and 3H7654 Washers (11). DO NOT tighten bolts at this time. See Illustration 8. Bolt (12) is a longer bolt than bolt (10). DO NOT use bolt (12) in positions with plastic plugs.

See Illustrations 1 and 4.Apply 3S6252 RTV Silicone at location (Z), between the plates and the platform, as required after the bolts are tight. See Illustration 4.
10. Tighten the bolts to the torque specified in the following sequence: a. Tighten bolts (10) and (12) in Step 6 and 7 to a torque of 100 14 N m (75 10 lb ft).b. Tighten bolts (14) and (15) in Step 8 to a torque of 100 14 N m (75 10 lb ft).c. Tighten bolts (3) in Step 9 to a torque of 43 7 N m (32 5 lb ft).d. Tighten bolts (3) and (6) in Steps 1 and 2 to a torque of 43 7 N m (32 5 lb ft).
