TUBE AS 3659308 - Caterpillar

PURPOSE: To prevent operation of the machine when the parking brake is engaged. 4V2432 (824B, 825B, 826B)
(1) Install bracket (1) to bracket (2); use the original bolts, with 9F8759 Spacer and 7F502 Washer, in place of the original 8B2133 Boss and 1B4264 Collar. (2) Install valve (3) to bracket (1) with bolts and washers. Install three elbows (4) and seals, two connectors (5) and seals to valve (3). (3) Install tee (6) between hose (7) and tube (8). Connect hose (9) to tee (6) and connector (5). (4) Install elbow (10) and the seal to adapter (11); remove the existing hose between hose (12) and the accumulator and install the new hose (13) in its place. Install adapter (11) and the seal between hoses (12) and (13) with new bolts and washers. Connect hose (14) to elbow (10) and the other connector (5). (5) Install tee (15) to elbow (4) and install tube (16) between tee (15) and the other elbow (4). Connect hose (17) to tee (15). (6) Move the end of hose (17) to the right side of the machine as shown. Disconnect hose (18) from elbow (20) and install tee (21); connect hose (17) to tee (21) with the reducer and nut. (7) Connect hose (22) to elbow (4) and move the hose under tube (23) as shown. Remove cover (24) from the transmission and remove covers (25) and (26) from valve (27). (8) Install valve (28) with six bolts and washers; tighten the bolts to a torque of 35 lb.ft. (45). Remove the cover and install sleeve (29) with two seals; install flange (30) with two bolts lockwashers and a seal. Install elbow (31) and a seal in flange (30); connect hose (22) to elbow (31). Install cover (24).4V2431 (988A)
(1) Follow steps one through four for installation of 4V2432 Parking Brake Interlock Group on 824B, 825B and 826B. In step four, replacement of the accumulator hose is not necessary; the adapter can be installed between the existing hoses. (2) Remove hose (1) from between transmission neutralizer valve (2) and transmission hydraulic control (3). (3) Disconnect hose (4) from the elbow and install tee (5); connect hose (6) to tee (5) with the reducer and nut, and to elbow (7). (4) Install hose (8) between elbow (9) and elbow (10) at the transmission hydraulic control. (5) Connect hose (11) to elbow (12) and to the elbow at transmission neutralizer valve (2).
