PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. Follow all safety guidelines as outlined in the machines Operation and Maintenance Manual, before starting any work on the machine.
2. With the boom fully rested on the ground, remove the heel from the machine. Once removed, clean the mating surfaces of the heel and stick. These surfaces must be free of all dirt, paint, and metal burrs that may have occurred while the heel was being operated loosely.
3. Once the mating surfaces are clean, re-install the heel back onto the stick boom. Align the mounting holes and secure the heel in four locations. Tighten the hardware to maintain the heel?s position.
4. Any damaged holes through the heel and stick boom will need to be drilled out to 30mm and new hardware is to be installed. A frame drill will work best for this procedure. Once these holes have been machined, install the new hardware. Do NOT tighten this hardware to the listed specifications yet. Refer to Image1.2.1 for assembly of the new hardware.

5. Drill four additional 25mm holes, two per each side of the heel. Use the attached dimensions shown in Image1.3.1 in order to locate the position of these additional mounting locations (A). Once drilled, install the new hardware. If you have not already, remove the original hardware used to secure the heel so that those holes can be drilled to 30mm. Drill these holes to the larger size, if needed, or add the new 24mm hardware.

IMPORTANT: This step is extremely important and must be followed using the correct torque tooling. The use of an impact gun is NOT allowed for this procedure.
6. Tighten all the hardware in the steps and in the sequence shown in Image1.4.1.
