Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure.Steam can cause personal injury.Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure.Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes to prevent personal injury.
The engine can have the ability to auto start. Ensure that the power supply is isolated before any service or repairs is performed.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".

Install bolts (3) and spacers (4) to expansion tank (1).
Position the assembly of the expansion tank onto the engine. Note: Ensure that any tube clips that are retained by the bolts are correctly positioned.
Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 44 N m (33 lb ft).
Connect hose (7) to expansion tank (1) and tighten hose clamp (6) securely.
Install tube assembly (5) to expansion tank (1).
Connect tube assembly (2) to expansion tank (1).
Refill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".
