Oil for auxiliary pump (14) is stored in hydraulic tank (15). Hydraulic tank (15) also stores oil for the propel system. Oil is drawn out of the hydraulic tank by auxiliary hydraulic pump (14). The auxiliary hydraulic pump is a variable displacement piston pump.The hydraulic oil that is drawn by the auxiliary hydraulic pump from hydraulic tank (15) has a pressure compensation of 17995 kPa (2610 psi). Auxiliary pump (14) is in operation if the auxiliary components are being used. The hydraulic oil will then flow through auxiliary hydraulic filter (13) on the path to auxiliary manifold (10). The oil goes to auxiliary manifold (10) in order to supply hydraulic oil to the entire auxiliary hydraulic circuit. Auxiliary manifold (10) directs oil to all of the auxiliary system components.The auxiliary manifold controls the following auxiliary system components:
Rotor elevation circuits
Circuits for front steering (1)
Circuits for rear steering (6)
Service brake circuits (propel) (11)
Park brake circuits (propel) (12)
Brakes for rotor drive (2) and (3)
Circuits for optional water spray system (9)
Circuits for raising the rotor and circuits for lowering the rotor (4) and (5)
Circuits for raising the rotor and circuits for lowering the rotor (4) and (5)
Circuits for optional front rotor door (8)
Circuits for rear rotor door (7) Oil returns to hydraulic tank (15) through hydraulic return filter (17). The filter is mounted inside the hydraulic tank.

Auxiliary Manifold (18) Auxiliary ManifoldThe auxiliary manifold is located in the rear of the operator station. (19) Hydraulic Auxiliary PumpAuxiliary pump (19) is a variable displacement axial piston pump. This piston pump is pressure compensated. Auxiliary pump (19) is mounted on the left side of the engine in tandem with the rear propel pump. The rear propel pump is on the left side of the engine flywheel housing. Since the pump is driven by the gear train in the flywheel housing, the pump operates when the diesel engine is running. The auxiliary pump supplies hydraulic oil to the auxiliary hydraulic functions on demand.Reference: Refer to Machine Systems, KENR3126, "Piston Pump (Auxiliary)" for more information on the auxiliary pump.
