2. Fasten Tooling (A) and a suitable hoist to each side of front axle housing group as shown. Raise the front axle housing group into position against the front frame. 3. Install twelve bolts (6) and the nuts and washers that fasten the front axle housing group to the front frame. Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 700 90 N*m (520 65 lb ft). Install lock nuts (7). 4. Put front drive shaft (5) into position in differential pinion yoke (3). Apply 155-0695 Thread Lock Compound to the threads of bolts (4) prior to assembly. Install four bolts (4). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 160 15 N*m (120 11 lb ft). 5. Connect service brake hose (1) and parking brake hose (2) to the fittings on the front axle housing group.6. Fill the differential and final drives to the correct level with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the machine that is being serviced.7. Remove (bleed) the air from the braking system. Refer to Remove Air from the Braking System, in Braking System, Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting for the machine that is being serviced. End By:a. Install tire and rim assemblies. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tire and Rim Assemblies - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.b. Remove bucket control group safety pins. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bucket Control Group Safety Pins - Install and Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.
