Right Side of Instrument Panel (5) Vibratory tachometerVibratory tachometer (5) is located on the right side of the instrument panel. Terminal "B" of the tachometer receives power from fuse "F10", and terminal "C" receives an input signal from the vibratory speed sensors. The vibratory tachometer is grounded at terminal "A". The vibratory gauge relay controls which of the vibratory speed sensors provides the input signal to vibratory tachometer (5). When the vibratory gauge relay is de-energized, the relay routes the signal from the front vibratory speed sensor to the vibratory tachometer. When the vibratory gauge relay is energized, the relay routes the signal from the rear vibratory speed sensor to the vibratory tachometer.

Right Side of Instrument Panel (6) Fault indicatorFault indicator (6) is located on the right side of the instrument panel. This indicator alerts the operator to faults in monitored systems. The machine ECM monitors the circuits to the forward solenoid and the reverse solenoid on the hydraulic pump for faults. When the ECM detects an open, a short to ground, or a short to the battery in one of these circuits for more than 250 ms, the ECM generates a level one fault. If the parking brake switch is in the OFF position when the fault is detected, the machine ECM prompts the side console ECM to illuminate fault indicator (6). If the parking brake is in the ON position when the fault is detected, the side console ECM flashes a fault code on the fault indicator. Service technicians can also use an electronic service tool to retrieve fault information. Fault codes consist of a series of long flashes followed by a series of short flashes. Each long flash lasts for approximately one second. Each short flash lasts for approximately one half of a second. The ECM creates a three second pause between fault codes. After the ECM has flashed the code for each active fault, the ECM begins the sequence again. The fault code for a fault in the circuit to the forward solenoid consists of six long flashes and two short flashes. The fault code for a fault in the circuit to the reverse solenoid consists of six long flashes and three short flashes.

Right Console (7) Vibratory master switch (8) Propel control leverVibratory master switch (7) is a trigger type switch located on propel control lever (8). The vibratory master switch is a momentary switch.Vibratory master switch (7) is normally open. When the trigger is actuated, the machine ECM receives a digital input signal at terminal "17".Propel lever (8) controls the machine's speed and travel direction. Two sensors detect the position of the lever. The sensors send input signals to the side console ECM, which, in turn, determines the chosen travel direction and speed. The sensors are located inside the right operator console. For additional information about these sensors, refer to Specifications, Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, KENR5738.The side console ECM communicates the position of propel lever (8) to the machine
