Install a 3/8 - 16 eyebolt on gear assembly (9). Use a hoist and a suitable lifting chain to remove gear assembly (9) from the input transfer gear housing. The weight of gear assembly (9) is 27 kg (60 lb).

Remove two bearing cones (10) from the gear.

Remove bearing cup (11) from the input transfer gear housing.

Remove tube assemblies (12) and (13) .

Remove bolts (14) from manifold assembly (15) and install two 3/8 - 16 forcing screws (16) in manifold assembly (15). Remove manifold assembly (15) from the input transfer gear housing.

Remove O-ring seal (17) from manifold assembly (15) .

Turn the case assembly onto the opposite side and position the input transfer gear housing, as shown. Remove O-ring seals (19) and (20) from the input transfer gear housing. Remove O-ring seal (18) from cage assembly (21) .

Remove bolts (22) from the cage assembly and install two 3/8 - 16 forcing screws (23). Remove cage assembly (21) .
