TUBE AS 4174758 - Caterpillar

1. Loosen clamp (6) on muffler. Remove four bolts (1) that hold pipe (2) to the exhaust manifold. Remove the pipe.2. Remove nuts (4) and (5) and washers that hold shield (3). Remove the shield. 3. Remove six nuts (7) and the washers that hold the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head. Remove exhaust manifold (8) from the studs.Install Exhaust Manifold
1. Install new gasket for the manifold if needed. Put 9M3710 Anti-Sieze Compound on the threads of the studs and nuts for the manifold. Put manifold (1) in position on the cylinder head and install the washers and nuts. 2. Install shield (2) on the studs. Install the two nuts and washers that hold the shield in place.3. Put 9M3710 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the bolts for the pipe and install pipe (3) that goes to the muffler.4. Tighten the clamp that holds the pipe to the muffler.end by:a) install fuel lines
