Assembly Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Install valves (27) and (26) in gearshift valve (4) .
Install O-ring seal (30) on cover (25) .
Install sleeve bearing (28), spring (29), and cover (25) in gearshift valve (4) .

Install two bolts (24) in cover (25) .

Install O-ring seal (20) on reducing valve (21) .
Install spool (18), spring (19), and reducing valve (21) in gearshift valve (4) .
Install O-ring seal (13) in gearshift valve (4) .
Install O-ring seal (16) on solenoid valve (17) .
Install spring (14), spool (15), and solenoid valve (17) in gearshift valve (4) .
Repeat Steps 7 through 9 for solenoid valves (22) and (23) .

Install four plugs (12) and the O-ring seals in gearshift valve (4) .

Install harness assembly (11) in cover (6) .
Install four bolts (10). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 29 N m (21 lb ft).

Install gasket (7) (hidden) and cover (6) to gearshift valve (4) .
Install three bolts (9) in cover (6). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 10 N m (7 lb ft).
Connect wires (8) to the solenoids.

Install gasket (5) to gearshift valve (4) .
Install gasket (3) (hidden) and plate (2) to gearshift valve (4) .
Install eight bolts (1) in plate (2). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 6 N m (4 lb ft).End By: Install the gearshift valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gearshift Valve - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
