12.7 mm (0.5 inch) Wrench
4 mm (0.16 inch) Allen Wrench

TORX T30Procedure to Replace Rotation Sensor Mounting Brackets

(1) 491-1257 Bracket

(4) 9X-2043 ScrewFollow the below mentioned procedure to replace the rotation sensor mounting brackets with new parts:
Park the machine in a flat and safe location.
Ground the blade (place in float) and ground ripper (if equipped).

(5) 365-8764 Bracket
(6) Bolts
(7) Shoulder bolt
(8) 365-8763 Bracket
Remove the shoulder bolt (7) and discard.
Remove the two bolts (6) on the top of the rotation sensor connecting the upper arm 365-8764 Bracket (5) to the sensor and harness clip. Set harness clip aside for reuse.
Remove the bracket (5) and discard.
Remove the sensor connector harness.

(10) Nuts
Remove the nuts (10) fixing the harness cable and lower shoulder bolt 365-8763 Bracket (8). Set harness clip aside for reuse.
Remove the bracket (8) and discard the bracket.

Remove the four recessed collar screws (11) and lift the rotation sensor and collar assembly from the hydraulic swivel plate.
Remove the snap ring from groove on the rotation sensor and discard the snap ring and one piece black collar (12).Note: Dirt and debris may have accumulated under the sensor and may make removing the snap ring difficult.

(3) 491-1256 Bracket As
(13) Hydraulic swivel bolt
Partially back out upper hydraulic swivel bolt (13) about 15 mm (0.6 inch).
Install new lower 491-1256 Bracket As (3).
Place any harness clips removed previously on the upper hydraulic swivel bolt (13) and tighten the nuts on the upper and lower hydraulic swivel bolts.

Remove the plastic guide ring (15) and clean the surface of the hydraulic swivel plate using a wire brush, may be necessary to remove compacted dirt.
Replace the plastic guide ring (15) and place sensor on the hydraulic swivel plate. Make sure that the sensor arm (14) rests in the slot on the hydraulic swivel plate.

(2) 498-8523 Collar
With the rotation sensor resting on the hydraulic swivel plate, place the two new 498-8523 Collar (2) around the sensor and insert the collar lip into the groove on the rotation sensor.
Rotate the two plastic half collar (2) so that the screw holes are aligned with the hydraulic swivel plate holes.
Insert the button head 9X-2043 Screw (4) into the two plastic half collar (2) and torque to 6 N m (4.4 lb ft).
Install the new upper 491-1257 Bracket (1) and ensure that the pin from the lower bracket assembly is inserted in the upper bracket slot as shown in Illustration 7.Note: The connector on the rotation sensor should be directed towards the rear of the machine.
Replace any previously removed harness clips under the bracket bolts (6) and tighten.
Connect the harness to the rotation sensor.
Verify that all harnesses and hydraulic hoses are properly secured and do not interfere with the new sensor mounting for entire range of blade motion.
Recalibrate the blade rotation angle sensor
