Turn the steering wheel in order to adjust the front wheels so that wheels (1), (3), (6) and (7) are straight ahead.
Use a straight edge to check two left side bogies (6) and (7). The straight edge should contact the front and rear edges of both wheels.
Turn off the engine.
Recheck the left wheels in order to verify that the straight edge is still in contact at all four points.Note: If the engine continues to run, the front wheels may drift slightly to the left or the right.
Use the straight edge to check the alignment of the bogie wheel assembly on the right side. If the straight edge contacts all four points, the wheel alignment is correct. No further adjustment is necessary. If the alignment is not correct, perform the remaining steps.
Start the engine with the parking brake engaged.
Turn the wheel fully to the left.
Check the fully retracted length (A) of cylinder (5) from the center of rod bearing (10) to the center of cylinder pin (4). This dimension should be 526 mm (20.7 inch).
Steer the wheels straight ahead.
Turn the steering wheel until the front and rear edges of both wheels (6) and (8) contact the straight edge. The rod (7) may also require adjustment in order to achieve proper alignment.
Use a straight edge to check the alignment of the bogie wheel assembly on the right side. If the straight edge contacts all four points, the alignment is complete. If the straight edge does not contact all four points, rod (9) from the left side bogies to the right side bogies and rod (2) from the right rear to the front wheel will require adjustment.
Use Service Manual, KENR2949, "Propel Electronic Control System" to perform the calibrations for the propel system.
