Location of the travel speed switch Be sure that the switch for the travel speed is set to the HIGH position before you perform the test. This will ensure that port (X) is free of any trapped pressure and vented to the hydraulic tank. Port (X) on the control valve of the travel motor must be vented to the hydraulic tank during the test procedure.
Place the machine on level ground.
Shut off the engine.
Release all the pressure in the hydraulic system. For the correct procedure to release the pressure, refer to the reference at the beginning of the test.

Remove the plugs from port (M1) and port (Mb) on the control valve of the travel motor.
Assemble 8C-6864 Adapter and 8C-5201 Face Seal . Assemble the 6V-3965 Fitting As and 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal . Install the fitting on the adapter. Install the adapter in port (Mb) .

Typical exampleThe photo shows the left side sprocket. (1) Stopper (2) Sprocket
Place stopper (1) in both sprockets in order to block forward right travel.
Start the engine.
Place the engine speed dial to high idle.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 40° C (104° F) to 60° C (140° F).

Hydraulic lockout control
Move the hydraulic lockout control to the UNLOCKED position.
Do not hold this function or any other function stalled for more than 10 seconds. Hydraulic oil is heated very rapidly when the oil is channeled through relief valves. Component damage could result.
Adjust the main relief of the travel valve while the tracks are stalled. Adjust the valve at port (Mb) to a working pressure of 27580 350 kPa (4000 50 psi).
The pressure at port (M1) should be 2413 350 kPa (350 50 psi).
If the pressure reading is not within specifications, proceed to Step 17. If the pressure is correct proceed to Step 19.
Loosen the locknut on the adjustment screw (C) . Turn the adjustment screw (C) clockwise in order to lower the shift point. Turn the adjustment screw (C) counterclockwise in order to increase the shift point.
Adjust the main relief of the travel valve while the tracks are stalled. Refer to the following in order to adjust the main relief pressure on the travel valve. Refer to the Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Line for Travel Motor)".Reference
Shift the hydraulic lockout control to the LOCKED position.
Shut off the engine
Release all the hydraulic oil pressure in the system.
Disconnect the
