Removal Procedure

Personal injury can result from parts and/or covers under spring pressure.Spring force will be released when covers are removed.Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.
When servicing or repairing electric power generation equipment:Make sure the unit is off-line (disconnected from utility and/or other generators power service), and either locked out or tagged DO NOT OPERATE. Remove all fuses.
Remove bolts (8) and remove connector (10) from the cylinder head. Remove gasket (11). Remove O-ring seal (9) from connector (10).
Remove cover (1) from valve mechanism cover (5).
Remove screws (2). Remove plate (3).
Remove diaphragm (4) and cap (6). Remove spring (7). Installation Procedure

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install spring (7), cap (6), and diaphragm (4).
Install plate (3). Install screws (2). Tighten screws (2) to a torque of 1.3 N m (12 lb in).
Install cover (1) on valve mechanism cover (5).
Install O-ring seal (9) on connector (10). Install gasket (11) on connector (10). Position connector (10) in valve mechanism cover (5).
Install bolts (8). Tighten bolts (8) to a torque of 9 N m (80 lb in).
