4. Unscrew each end of the fuel hoses shown in Image 1.2.1. The fuel hoses are connected between the filter head, fuel cooler, and fuel tank (or base connection to remote tank, as applicable). Reference SEBU7898 and SEBU7829 Operation & Maintenance manual as applicable.
The Fuel cooler hose connection is shown in Image 1.2.2

5. Unscrew the bolt securing the P-clip in position. Remove the P-clip from the fuel hose. Repeat for all the P-clips holding the fuel hoses.
6. Retain the bolts and washers from the P-clips, and the P-clips for reuse.

7. Replace the 2 fuel hoses with the appropriate new parts according to the parts needed. These have the same length and specification, but with the addition of a nitrile O-ring on the end connecting to the fuel cooler.

8. Tighten the hose connections at the fuel cooler (these have the nitrile O-ring) to a torque of 42 Nm (31 lb.ft).
Warning: Tightening to a torque other than that specified, or moving the rotational position of the hose end after tightening in position, can damage the nitrile O-ring and cause leaks to occur.
9. Tighten the hose connections at the engine filter head and the fuel tank to a torque of 41 Nm (30 lb.ft).
10. Refit the P-clips, with bolts and washers retained from Step 5, into the original positions on the engine block.
11. Clear generator area, reconnect batteries, release emergency stop, and clear emergency stop fault code.
12. Run the generator set at NO load and check that no fuel leaks occur at any of these connections.
