Information:

Manual Mode - The gear speed is selected by rotating Auto/Man switch (1) to manual position (2). When switch (1) is in the MANUAL position, the transmission gear speeds can be selected by pressing and releasing upshift switch (3) or downshift switch (4). Automatic Mode - Automatic up and down shifting is provided in gears at or below the highest speed setting on Auto/Man switch (1).The downshift switch (4) is active in all gears and causes transmission downshifts to occur at higher than normal machine speeds.Pressing and releasing downshift switch (4) will cause a one gear downshift, provided the machine and engine speeds are such that an engine overspeed would not occur.Pressing and holding downshift switch (4) will cause the transmission to continue to downshift as the machine speed decreases. The transmission will remain in the downshifted gear for three seconds after downshift switch (4) is released before automatic shifting is resumed.Turn Auto/Man switch (1) to a selected gear speed to activate the autoshift function. The transmission will shift from first through to the selected gear automatically. Highest gear is controlled by the position of the gear speed selected on Auto/Man switch (1).Autoshift (Wheel Steer Machines)
SMCS Code: 3065; 7451. Manual Mode - When autoshift switch (1) is in the MAN position, the transmission will remain in the gear speed selected by the operator. The transmission will not automatically upshift or downshift. Automatic Mode - When autoshift switch (1) is in the AUTO position, the transmission will automatically upshift or downshift. The transmission will not automatically upshift to a speed higher than that selected on transmission control lever (2).Steering Controls
SMCS Code: 4300STIC Steer Machines
Remove the steering frame lock pin and store in the unlocked position. The steering frame lock pin must be removed to steer the machine. See Before Starting the Engine for information. The directional steering of the machine is controlled by the STIC steering lever. When the STIC steering lever is moved to the right of center, the machine steers to the right. When the STIC steering lever is moved to the left of center, the machine steers to the left. When the STIC steering lever is released, the lever will return to the center position. However the machine will maintain the direction in which it was moving. The STIC steering lever must be moved past center in the opposite direction to which the machine was turning to return to straight ahead travel. Left Turn (1) - Move the STIC steering lever to the left to steer the machine to the left. The further the steering lever is moved, the faster the machine steers to the left. Right Turn (2) - Move the STIC steering lever to the right to steer the machine to the right. The further the steering lever is moved, the faster the machine steers to the right. The secondary steering lock will disable the steering when the operator's station door is opened. The door must be firmly closed before the STIC control can be used for
