Connect the DT connector of the 172-3692 Front Chassis Harness Assembly to the mating connector of the 173-0329 Engine Harness (3). Refer to Illustration 16.
Route the 173-0329 Engine Harness (3) along the original engine harness. Secure the harness by using 2U-4497 Straps (2). Refer to Illustration 16 for the harness routing.

Remove the bracket for the throttle cable (1) and remove the bracket for the dipstick (2). Replace the screw (3) that was removed from the bracket for the dipstick. Refer to Illustration 17 for the location of the bracket for the throttle cable and the bracket for the dipstick.
Use the original bolt (4) to mount the 134-1592 Strip . Refer to Illustration 17 for the mounting position. Fasten the dipstick to the 134-1592 Strip . Use the original hardware to fasten the dipstick.

Mount the 1Q-9830 Switch (2) to the 135-6270 Bracket (1), using two 2N-3477 Screws (3), two 4B-5324 Washers (7), two 4B-2041 Nuts (8) and two 3L-8187 Lockwashers (9). Refer to Illustration 18 for the correct mounting.
Mount the throttle assembly to the governor housing. Use two 6V-5782 Screws (4), two 8T-4224 Washers (5) and two 6B-2882 Spacers (6). Refer to Illustrations 16 and 18 for the mounting.
Connect the two ring terminals of the 173-0329 Engine Harness to the 1Q-9830 Switch . The polarity of the connection is not important. Refer to Illustration 16.
Carefully adjust the mounting position of the throttle switch. The switch should actuate when the accelerator pedal is released and when the accelerator is operated. The contacts of the switch should close when the pedal is released and open when the pedal is operated. A click can be heard when the throttle switch operates in both directions.
Connect the 172-7019 Switched Link (1) with the 172-0329 Engine Harness (3). Refer to Illustration 16 for installation.

Disconnect the 122-0452 Hose Assembly (2) from the connector on top of the torque converter. Install a 7X-0873 Swivel Tee (3) between the hose and the connector. Use a 6V-9746 O-ring Seal (4). Install the test port that was removed in step 18 into the swivel tee. Refer to Illustration 19 for the test port location.
