Installation Procedure

B     138-7574     Link Bracket     2    Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the installation procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Install Tooling (A) under the front suspension frame.
Position the front axle under the machine.

Attach Tooling (B) and two suitable lifting devices to both sides of front axle (1) . Raise front axle (1) into position on the machine. The weight of front axle (1) is approximately 1925 kg (4244 lb).

Use two people in order to position bracket (15) onto the front axle. The weight of bracket (15) is approximately 23 kg (51 lb). Install bolts (14) .

The top of the suspension cylinder has been removed from the machine for photographic clarity.

The top of the suspension cylinder is removed from the machine for photographic clarity.
Install double seal (13) . Install spacer (12) toward the rear of the machine. Slowly lower the suspension cylinder into bracket (11) .

The top of the suspension cylinder is removed from the machine for photographic clarity.
Align the bores in bracket (11) with the bore in the suspension cylinder and install pin (10) .

Install bolt (7) , washers (8) , nut (9) and special washer (6) . Connect hose assembly (5) to special washer (6) .
Repeat steps 5 to 7 in order to connect the left side suspension cylinder to the front axle.
Remove Tooling (B) from both sides of the front axle. Refer to illustration 2.
Remove Tooling (A) from the suspension frame. Refer to illustration 1.

Connect hose assembly (4) and hose assembly (3) to the front axle.

Connect hose assembly (2) to front axle (1) .End By:
Install the front drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Front Drive Shaft - Remove and Install".
Install the stabilizer rod for the front axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Front Axle Stabilizer Rod - Remove and Install".
Install the front road wheels. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tire and Rim - Install".
Reset the suspension ride height. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Suspension System - Check / Adjust".
Check the oil level in the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hoist, Steering and Brake System Oil Level - Check".
Purge the air out of the braking system. Refer to Systems Operation, testing and Adjusting, "Service brake Air - Purge".
