Cap and PlugThe following table provides a list of the required tools if traditional hand held tools are used in order to perform the following test procedure. These tools will be used in order to perform the following test procedure. The flow meter may vary in volume. There are two of the various flow meters that are listed below. The 8T-0454 Flow Meter Gp will be used for the following test.

Sudden movement of the machine or release of oil under pressure can cause serious injury to persons on or near the machine.To prevent possible injury, perform the procedure that follows before testing and adjusting the hydraulic system.
Perform the following procedure before you perform the test procedure that follows:
Park the machine on a level area that is clear from all equipment and material.
Verify that the service brake system and the parking brake system are in good working order.
Block the drive wheels in both directions.
Apply the parking brake.
Ensure that the propel lever is in the NEUTRAL position. Ensure that the parking brake is in the ON position.

Note: This test will access the supply line from the pump at the location of the gear motor.
Locate the gear motor (cooling fan) on the right side of the machine.
Assemble 8T-0454 Flow Meter Gp (A1) and 122-6891 Hydraulic Hose (B1) with the proper fittings.

Disconnect supply line (2) from gear motor (1). The supply line provides hydraulic flow to the cooling fan motor.

Cap and PlugNote: The cap and the plug are used in order to reduce leakage during this test. If the flow meter is readily available, these additional parts may not be needed for the test.
Use 6V-9512 Face Seal Plug (C1) and 6V-9832 Cap As (D1) in order to cap gear motor (1) and plug supply line (2) temporarily.
Install 8T-0454 Flow Meter Gp (A1). Attach 122-6891 Hydraulic Hose (B1) to the end of the flow meter. Attach the other end of 122-6891 Hydraulic Hose (B1) to the port for supply line (2) on gear motor (1). Attach supply line (2) to the other end of the flow meter. Ensure that all of the connections are secure. Secure the flow meter to the machine.
Start the engine. Run the engine at high idle.

Locate fan control valve (3). Loosen EDC coil (4) and remove EDC coil (4) from fan control valve (3). This will allow the fan control valve to open fully.
The flow meter should have a reading of 62 4 L/min (16.3 1 US gpm). If the
