Improper blocking of the rear axle housing can cause personal injury.The rear axle housing is made to oscillate. During removal and installation of the rear tires and rims, the rear axle housing must be prevented from oscillating.Place wood blocks between the rear axle housing and the rear main frame to prevent oscillation of the rear axle housing.
Move the machine to a hard level surface that is free of overhead obstructions. Park the machine in the straight ahead position.Note: The work tool must be empty and lowered to the ground before lifting the machine.Note: Tooling that is used for lifting the machine or for securing the machine in the raised position should only be used on a concrete surface. The concrete surface should be flat and level and capable of supporting the weight of the machine.
Engage the parking brake.
Stop the engine.
Install the steering frame lock.
Place wheel blocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels.Raising With a Jack and Supporting with Stands

Positions (A), and (B) are the recommended locations for jacking up the machine, refer to Illustration 1. The jacking up locations are part of the front frame and the rear frame. A suitable jack with a lifting capacity of 50000 kg (110250 lb) is required to raise the machine at positions (A) and (B) .

Install wood block (3) between the rear axle housing and the rear frame on both sides of the machine, refer to Illustration 2. The rear axle will be prevented from oscillating.Note: The blocks should be a neat fit.
Start the engine and raise the work tool approximately 300 mm (11.81 inch) from the ground. Stop the engine.
Use a suitable jack to raise the rear of the machine at position (B) to the required height. Place a suitable stand at position (2) .
Lower the jack until the rear of the machine is fully supported by the stand.
Repeat Step 4 and Step 5 for the other side of the machine.
Use a suitable jack to raise the front of the machine at position (A) to the required height. Place suitable stands at positions (1) .
Lower the jack until the front of the machine is fully supported by the stands.
Start the engine and lower the work tool to the ground. Stop the engine.
