The original article has been revised to update serial number effectivity.Description of Change: The fuel injection pump used on C9.3 engines now has improved manufacturing processes. These improvements include the following:
Improved torquing of the armature nut within the pump solenoids
Improved machining of the front and rear pump camshaft journals
Improved alignment of the roller/follower with the camshaftAdaptable To: The improved 379-0150 Fuel Injection Pump Gp replaces the existing pump and is adaptable back to first production on the serial numbers listed above.The effectivity for these improvements can be determined based on the fuel injection pump serial number. The effective fuel pump serial number range is 22183 - Up.Note: Disregard the first six and last two digits in order to identify the fuel pump serial number. For example 0150T02218302 = Serial number: 22183.
