Brake oil temperature circuit
The components of the brake oil temperature circuit are the brake oil temperature sensor, the Power Train/Chassis Electronic Control Module (Power Train/Chassis ECM), the Caterpillar Monitoring System and the gauge module.

(6) Brake oil temperature gauge With the battery disconnect switch in the ON position, 24 V power is supplied from the batteries to circuit breaker 1. Circuit breaker 1 supplies 24 V power to Power Train/Chassis ECM (2).With the key start switch in the ON position, 24 V power is supplied from the batteries to circuit breaker 11 and circuit breaker 13. Circuit breaker 11 supplies 24 V power to Caterpillar Monitoring System (3). Circuit breaker 13 supplies 24 V power to Power Train/Chassis ECM (2). Power Train/Chassis ECM (2) supplies 8 V power to brake oil temperature sensor (1).Brake oil temperature sensor (1) sends a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) signal to Power Train/Chassis ECM (2). Power Train/Chassis ECM (2) sends the signal to Caterpillar Monitoring System (3) via the CAT Data Link. Caterpillar Monitoring System (3) turns on brake oil temperature alert indicator (4) when the brake oil temperature is not within range. Caterpillar Monitoring System (3) also sends the signal to gauge module (5). Gauge module (5) will display the brake oil temperature on brake oil temperature gauge (6).
