This procedure is used to test and adjust the eject sequence valve setting.When the eject sequence valve is correctly adjusted, the eject cycle will occur in the correct sequence. When the body is ejected from the fully retracted position, the tailgate should first open fully before the ejector plate starts to move.
Damage to the ejector body or ejector body tailgate may occur if the eject cycle sequence is not correct.

Steering frame lock installed
Install the steering frame lock. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock" for the machine being serviced. Testing and Adjusting Procedure

Start the engine and run the engine at high idle. Extend and retract the ejector plate many times to get the temperature of the hydraulic oil to more than 38° C (100° F).
Stop the engine.
Install Tooling (B) to pressure tap (5). Pressure tap (5) is located on manifold (4) at the rear of the transfer gearcase.
Loosen lock nut (3) on eject sequence valve (1) in order to turn adjustment screw (2). Turn adjustment screw (2) clockwise until there is no more adjustment.
Start the engine and run the engine at high idle.
Hold hoist control lever in the operator station in RETRACT position until tailgate is fully raised and ejector plate is pushing against ejector plate stops.
Move the hoist control lever in the operator station to the EJECT position. Note: Ensure that the hydraulic oil temperature is more than 38° C (100° F). If necessary repeat Step 1.
Hold the hoist control lever in the operator station in the EJECT position. When the tailgate has reached the fully lowered position, turn adjustment screw (2) counter-clockwise until the ejector plate starts to move.
Check that the eject sequence valve (1) is correctly adjusted. The correct eject sequence valve (1) adjustment is achieved when adjustment screw (2) is as far counter-clockwise as possible without changing the eject cycle sequence. Refer to "Introduction" for the correct eject cycle sequence.
Repeat Step 6 through to Step 9 until the eject sequence valve (1) is correctly adjusted.
Move the hoist control lever in the operator station to the RETRACT position. Ensure that the ejector plate is pushing against the ejector plate stops. Ensure that the tailgate is fully raised.
Move the hoist control lever in the operator station to the EJECT position and observe the pressure on the gauge at pressure tap (5). The tailgate should start to lower.
When the tailgate is fully lowered, the pressure on the gauge at pressure tap (5)
