Open the left engine hood, in order to have the access to the 25 kW generator.

Switch battery to the OFF position.

Open upper hood (1) .

Disengage clamps (2) and remove air filter cover (3) .

Remove the two bolts of air filter support (4) .

Remove the two bolts of the support for air inlet manifold (5) .
Remove the filter as well as the air inlet manifold from mounting position.

Remove the two bolts of the belt cover and remove belt cover (6) .

By using tool FT-3215 (7), release the belt tension. Place the tool into the square hole (8) and push the tensioner to release pressure on the belt. Hold the tensioner in place and remove 313-4537 Serpentine Belt (9) .

Ensure the alignment between engine pulley and generator pulley. Use the laser tool in order to ensure that the races pulleys are aligned. The 428-8381 Kit-Belt Diagnostic is equipped with laser (10) which will be installed onto the engine pulley and receiver (11) installed onto the generator pulley.

Ensure the perpendicularity between the surface of engine pulley (12) and the surface of generator support (13) as well as the alignment between engine pulley surface and generator plate (14).

To make adjustments for the alignment between the pulleys, use bolts (15) to make the adjustments.
Once the generator is adjusted, tightened all the bolts in order to fix the position of the system.
Use tool (7) once again to relieve tension on the belt tensioner and install the 363-7389 Serpentine Belt

Release the belt tensioner in order to place tension on the belt. Use Illustration 13 to check belt routing.
Check the new belt for proper tension.
If belt tension is correct, mount the belt cover back into position.

Remount the air filter and air inlet manifold and install the bolts in order to restore the system.
Switch the battery back to the On position
Check for the operation of the new belt.
Close the remaining doors on the machine.
