Disassemble the sprocket group. Refer to Illustration 6.Discard outer sleeves (22), inner sleeves (23), bolts (25), and locknuts (26). Retain rings (21) and sprocket (24) for the reassembly of the sprocket group.ReferenceDisassembly and Assembly, "Track Drive - Disassemble".

Reassemble the sprocket group. Use the parts that are identified in Illustration 7.Note: Rings (21) and the Sprocket (24) are reused in the reassembly of the sprocket group. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 120 20 N m (90 15 lb ft).ReferenceDisassembly and Assembly, "Track Drive - Assemble".

Reinstall the sprocket group. Secure the sprocket group with 12 bolts (19) and 12 washers (20). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 270 40 N m (200 30 lb ft). Refer to Illustration 8.

Install 278-1240 Sprocket Bearing Group (27) .

Install retaining ring (12) onto the machine with tool (A) .

Place plate assembly (17) onto the machine. Secure plate assembly (17) onto the machine with four bolts (32) and four lockwashers (33). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 105 20 N m (75 15 lb ft).Also place two locknuts (15), lockwashers (16), and bolts (18) onto the machine. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 120 20 N m (90 15 lb ft). Place 278-1259 Cap (34) onto the machine. Install 8J-7636 Retaining Ring (38) after installation of 278-1259 Cap (34) .ReferenceDisassembly and Assembly, "Track Drive - Install".

Place 261-6300 Idler Wheel Group (36) and plate (4) onto the machine. Secure 261-6300 Idler Wheel Group (36) into place with bolt (1) and lockwasher (2). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 50 10 N m (35 7 lb ft).Place the new idler group on the front and on the rear.ReferenceDisassembly and Assembly, "Idler Wheel - Install".

Install the new 220-8161 Track (37) .ReferenceDisassembly and Assembly, "Track (Rubber) - Remove and Install".
Repeat this procedure for the opposite side of the machine.
