Start By:
Remove the end gate.
Remove the deflector plate (strike-off) from the main screed.
Remove the drop arm.
Remove the walkway.
Remove the platform.
Remove the power adjuster (slope).
Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.Make sure all of the work tools have been lowered to the ground, and the oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.

Remove the lockwire and disconnect harness assembly (1).
Remove two bolts (2), the plate, and the clamps.

Disconnect hose assembly (3).

Disconnect three hose assemblies (4).

Disconnect four hose assemblies (5).

Loosen the screw and disconnect harness assembly (6).

Remove two screws (8), the two washers, and harness assembly (7).

Disconnect harness assemblies (9).
Remove the nut, the washer, and ground wire (10).

Bend the locking tabs on the lock ring to release two castle nuts (11).
Remove two castle nuts (11) and the lock ring from pin assembly (12).
Slide pin assembly (12) out as far as possible.

Remove two bolts (13), the four washers, and the two nuts.

Attach a suitable lifting device and Tooling (A) to extender assembly (14). The weight of extender assembly (14) is approximately 816 kg (1800 lb).
Remove extender assembly (14).
Repeat Steps 1 through 15 for the extender assembly on the opposite side.Installation Procedure
Install extender assembly (14) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (B) to the machine face of extender assembly (14) that mates up to the main screed frame.
Apply Tooling (C) to pin assembly (12).
Tighten castle nuts (11) to a torque of 853 85 N m (629 63 lb ft).
Bend the appropriate locking tabs on the lock ring to secure two castle nuts (11).
Use Tooling (D) and a torque wrench to tighten harness assembly (1).
Tighten harness assembly (1) to a torque of 10.5 0.3 N m (93 3 lb in).
Use Tooling (F) to install Tooling (E) to secure harness assembly (1).
