TUBE 5346980 - Caterpillar

Use the 6N3253 Turbocharger Group or 6N3252 Cartridge Group only on machines which work at altitudes of 1525 m (5000 ft) or less. The current 6N7203 Turbocharger Group must be used on those machines which work at altitudes higher than 1525 m (5000 ft). Caterpillar's recommendation is not to install a new cylinder block and piston groups for this application.
The 6N3253 Turbocharger Group was made available again, because it was necessary to use a new cylinder block and pistons with the current 6N7203 Turbocharger Group in engines with Serial Numbers 17S1-2438, and new pistons were necessary with Serial Numbers 17S2439-2853.
