Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
Group Number 1
Complete the precleaner replacement following the procedure in Special Instruction REHS8503 "Installing the Screened Precleaner on DiT Track-Type Tractors". Replace the primary filter with a new filter. This new filter contains an ultra high capacity media that will provide a greater dirt capacity.
Leave a copy of Special Instruction REHS8533 "D8T Cleaning The Screened Precleaner" with the customer. This special instruction explains how to disassemble the precleaner for cleaning. Cleaning interval will be site specific based on debris patterns and machine operation.
Group Number 2
Replace the existing interim precleaner with a new production precleaner. These machines have been previously updated with the interim precleaners and do not require the plenum kit. These machines also do not require removing the hood. Replace the primary filter with a new filter. This new filter contains an ultra high capacity media that will provide a greater dirt capacity.
