Start By:a. remove flywheel 1. Use tool (A) to remove crankshaft rear seal (1). 2. Install tool (B) in the rear seal bore. Install tool (C) between tool (B) and the wear sleeve. Turn tool (C) until the edge of the tool makes a flat place (crease) in the wear sleeve. Do this in two or more places until the wear sleeve is loose.3. Remove tool (B), and remove the wear sleeve. The following steps are for the installation of the crankshaft rear seal and wear sleeve. The wear sleeve and seal must be installed together.4. Put tool (D) in position on the crankshaft and install tooling (E) that hold tool (D) in place.5. Use 6V1541 Quick Cure Primer to remove any oil from the inside diameter of the wear sleeve and outside diameter surface of the crankshaft. Apply 9S3265 Retaining Compound to these surfaces next.6. Put the wear sleeve and seal on tool (D) with the part number on the seal out. 7. Put tool (F) and tool (G) on the locator. Then, use tool (G) to push the wear sleeve and seal on to the crankshaft until the installer, tool (F), is against the locator, tool (D). The wear sleeve and seal will then be in the correct location. The wear sleeve will be 7.9 mm (.31 in.) from the end of the crankshaft and the seal will be 9.7 mm (.38 in.) from the end of the crankshaft.8. Remove all the tooling.End By:a. install flywheel
