Lifting Boom
In the event of a machine being disabled, the boom can be raise with another machine. This machine must have a minimum lifting capacity of 28 700 Kg (63 200 lb). The boom can be raised using the following procedure:1. Turn ignition ON.2. At the same time, actuate thumb switch (boom float) (1) on the right hand boom control lever and dead engine boom lower switch (2) in the right hand control console.This vents the boom make up valves which allows the boom to be raised by another machine.Rotating The Swing Frame
Hoses do not need to be removed to set motors aside.1. Remove both swing motors (1) from the swing drives (2) by removing the mounting bolts.Reference: See Removal and Installation of Swing Motor in the 5130 Excavator Disassembly & Assembly Manual, SENR6058. 2. Install fittings between hose (3) and the tee. Attach a hand operated hydraulic pump to the fittings. Apply 3100 kPa (450 psi) with the hand pump to release the swing brakes.3. With another machine, push the boom to center the swing frame over the carbody.
