Fuse "F21" (1) transfers power to the following terminals of left operator ECM (13) : terminal "J1-31", terminal "J1-39" and terminal "J1-47". This voltage input provides the power for the processor.
Fuse "F20" (6) transfers power to the following terminals of screed ECM (12) : terminal "J1-31" and terminal "J1-39". This voltage input provides the power for the processor.When the engine start switch is moved to the ON position or the START position, the main power relay is energized. Power transfers across the switched side of the main power relay to switched bus (7). The switched bus provides power to following fuses:
Fuse "F7" (3) transfers power to terminal "J1-1" of screed ECM (12). This voltage signals provide the wakeup signal to the screed ECM. Power is also made available to washdown indicator (11) .
Fuse "F19" (8) transfers power to contact "86", and contact "30" of washdown relay (4) .Left operator ECM (13) is grounded at the following terminals: terminal "J1-13", terminal "J1-23" and terminal "J1-57". Screed ECM (12) is grounded at terminal "J1-23".After screed ECM (12) receives power, it begins to monitor the circuit at terminal "J1-26". Washdown switch (9) provides the input signal to this terminal. When the washdown switch is actuated, the circuit at terminal "J1-26" of the screed ECM is complete. This prompts the screed ECM to initiate the washdown control logic.Washdown switch (9) is a momentary switch. The circuit at terminal "J1-26" of screed ECM (12) is only complete while the switch is held in the actuated position. When the switch is released, the circuit at terminal "J1-26" returns to the normally open state. Screed ECM (12) changes the status of the washdown system each time washdown switch (9) is actuated. For example, if the washdown switch is off, the screed ECM will activate the washdown system when the washdown switch is actuated. If the washdown system is on, the screed ECM will deactivate the washdown system when the washdown switch is actuated. When the screed ECM first receives power, the washdown system is set to the off state.When the status of the washdown system changes from off to on, screed ECM (12) prompts the following three simultaneous actions:
An internal timer starts.
A status change signal is sent to left operator ECM (13) through the Cat Data Link.
A ground path is created at terminal "J2-9" of the screed ECM. Initiation of the timer starts a count down sequence. If the duration of the timer elapses before the operator turns off the washdown system, the screed ECM will automatically change the status of the washdown system from on to off.
