Note: Perform this procedure when the software must be updated. Download and install the application file and the defaults file onto the computer to be used during the update procedure.

( 1 ) The software and instructions are located in the paving products area of the "Downloads" section of SIS Web. The necessary files are identified by the screen model number.
Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.
Lift the screed and fully retract the screed extenders. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual of the tractor for this procedure.
Lower the screed to the ground. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual of the tractor for this procedure.
Stop the engine. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual of the tractor for this procedure.

Attach Tool (B) to harness connector (1) .
Connect Tool (A) to Tool (B). Start Tool (A). Start the WebGPI software.
Move the engine start switch to the ON position. Do not start the engine.

In the WebGPI software, click on "Download" icon (2) in the upper tool bar.

Choose the "OK" button in pop-up box (3) .

Select radio button (4), next to "HC08" in the "Microcontroller type" box.
Select radio button (5), next to "Application" in the "File type" box.Note: The current update file is available from the "Downloads" section of SIS Web. Refer to the "Paving Products" section and download the most recent "Electric Screed Heat Software and Installation Instruction Files".
Choose "Search" button (6) across from "Hex File" in order to search for the update file.

Select "All Files *.*" from drop-down list (7) .Note: Navigate directories of Tool (A) in order to find the update file. Each laptop computer has a unique structure of directories.
Navigate to and select the update file.
Choose "Open" button (8) to select the file.

Choose "Force Download" button (9) .The download process will activate the "Application" box (11) and the "Default" box (10). Wait until both boxes reach 100 percent. At that time, the color of the "Application" box will change back to blue. The "Default" box will change back to green.
Choose "Exit" button (12) .
Choose close box (13) .
Move engine start switch to the OFF position.
Remove the tools.
