Unexpected movement may occur with cold drive train oil. This movement could result in injury or death. Warm up machine before shifting out of park. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for proper cold weather operation.
Reduce engine speed when you maneuver in tight quarters or when you are going over a hill.Move the transmission control to the desired position before you operate the machine downhill. Do not move the transmission control while you are operating the machine downhill.When you are operating the machine downhill, you should use the same transmission gear selection that would be used when you are in an uphill operation.Do not allow the engine to overspeed when you operate the machine downhill. Use the service brake control to reduce machine speed and avoid engine overspeed when you are operating the machine downhill.
Adjust the operator seat.
Adjust the steering column tilt control. Adjust the tilt control for the steering wheel.
Fasten the seat belt.
Raise all lowered attachments in order to pass over any obstacles.

Depress service brake control (2) in order to prevent the machine from moving.
Engage transmission modulator control (1) .
Disengage the parking brake and move the transmission control to the desired position.
Release service brake control (2) .
Release transmission modulator control (1) .
Depress accelerator control (3) until you achieve the desired engine speed.
Drive the machine forward in order to have the best visibility and the best control.
For operator comfort and maximum service life of power train components, deceleration and/or braking is recommended before any directional shifts are made.
