The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program. Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.
This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3016" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3016" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
If the September 19, 1996 Service Letter - PI3925 has not been completed, implement this program in conjunction with it. These valve groups need to be installed in place of the 2 - 1359288 Valve Groups.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the July 31, 1997 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Affected Product

A improved double check valve needs to be installed on certain 777D, 784B, 785, 785B, 789, 789B, 793, 793B, and 793C Trucks equipped with ARC to improve the reliability of the service and ARC brake system.

2 - 1476277 Valve GroupAction Required
If this program is being implemented at the same time as the September 19, 1996 Service Letter - PI3925, do not install the 2 - 1359288 Valve Groups. Install these 2 - 1476277 Valve Groups in their place.
If the September 19, 1996 Service Letter - PI3925 has already been completed:
... Disconnect the hoses from the 1359288 Valve Group.... Remove the 1359288 Valve Groups.... Install the new 1476277 Valve Groups.... Reconnect the hoses to the new 1476277 Valve Groups.Owner Notification
