Connect cylinder ports (E), (F), (H), and (J) to the external flow circuit.
Refer to Table 2 in order to apply the correct pump flow to pump port (L) for the main control valve.
Adjust the external circuit load to 3450 kPa (500 psi).
Slowly apply pressure to port "L2", or "T2" with corresponding "L1", or "T1" open to the tank.Note: Cylinder flow must begin between 380 kPa (55 psi) and 600 kPa (87 psi).Note: Full pump flow must be attained at 1800 kPa (261 psi).Shimming And Adjusting The Main Control Valve Group
Refer to Illustration 1, Illustration 2, Illustration 3, Illustration 4, and Table 2.
If "L1", or "T1" pilot pressure is greater than 660 kPa (96 psi), then remove shims (2) under washer (4) .Note: For the 114-2787 Main Control Valve Gp or the 114-2788 Main Control Valve Gp, remove the shims only if the "L1" or "T1" pilot pressure is greater than 900 kPa (130 psi).Place the removed shims between retainer (7) and valve body (C) .
If "L2", or "T2" pilot pressure is greater than 660 kPa (96 psi), then remove shims (2) between retainer (7) and valve body (C) .Note: For the 114-2787 Main Control Valve Gp or the 114-2788 Main Control Valve Gp, remove the shims only if the "L2" or "T2" pilot pressure is greater than 900 kPa (130 psi).Place the removed shims under washer (4) .
If "L1", or "T1" pilot pressure is lower than 440 kPa (64 psi), then remove shims (2) between retainer (7) and valve body (C) .Place the removed shims under washer (4) .
If "L2", or "T2" pilot pressure is lower than 440 kPa (64 psi), then remove shims (2) under washer (4) .Place the removed shims between retainer (7) and valve body (C) .
