The Display Does Not Power Up
Check the cable and connections into the Display. Tighten all connections and replace any cable that is cut or that has bare wires showing.
Check the fuses.
Check the cable and connections between the Display and the Power Supply Module. Tighten all connections and replace any cable that is cut or any cable that has bare wires.
Check the cable and connections between the Power Supply Module and the battery. Tighten all connections and replace any cable that is cut or any cable that has bare wires.
Toggle the "power/setup" switch between the ON and OFF positions. If the Display still does not power up, contact your dealership's Technical Communicator for a possible consultation with Caterpillar.The Remote Switch Assembly Does Not Allow the System Into the Automatic or the Manual Mode
Check the remote switch assembly connection and make sure that the connection is tight.
Check that the remote switch is configured.
Check the "Auto/Manual" remote switch is working. Use the "Test Control Box" item in the "Diagnostics" information of the Operators and Maintenance Manual, "Configuration" section.The Left/Right Laser Receiver Icon on the Display is Gray
Check all the cables and connections from the Display to the electric mast and to the left/right laser receiver. Tighten all connections and replace any cable that is cut or any cable that has bare wires. If the laser receiver still does not operate and the icon is still gray, contact your dealership's Technical Communicator for a possible consultation with Caterpillar.The Left/Right Mast Icon on the Display is Gray When an Electric Mast is Used on the Machine
Check all the cables and connections between the Display and the left/right electric mast. Tighten all connections and replace any cable that is cut or any cable that has bare wires.
If the left/right mast still does not move and the icon is still gray, contact your dealership's Technical Communicator for a possible consultation with Caterpillar.Automatic Control is Unstable
Make sure no other laser transmitter(s) is operating in the area. If another laser transmitter is operating, offset the laser transmitter's elevation and/or flip down the beam attenuators on the other laser transmitter(s) to block the laser beam in your direction.
Check the tripod of the laser transmitter to make sure that all bolts and locking knobs are tight and that the tripod feet are firmly pushed into the ground.
Adjust the valve speed. For more information, see "Valve Speed" item in the "Diagnostics" information of the Operators and Maintenance Manual, "Configuration" section.
Perform a valve calibration. Contact your dealership's Technical Communicator for a possible consultation with Caterpillar.
