Under Ventilation Stack (1) Ventilation motor (2) Ventilation valve (3) Ventilation solenoidVentilation motor (1) and ventilation valve (2) are located under the battery compartment in the center of the machine. The top deck plate provides access to these components.Ventilation motor (1) is a gear type motor. This motor turns a blower which is located at the base of the exhaust stack. The blower draws the asphalt fumes through vents in the material feed tunnel. The blower pushes the fumes out the exhaust stack.Ventilation valve (2) controls the flow of hydraulic oil to ventilation motor (1). The manifold contains an orifice (not shown) and ventilation solenoid (3).

Center of Machine Under Access Panel (4) Vacuum gaugeVacuum gauge (4) is located at the base of the exhaust stack in the center of the machine. The access panel provides access to this component.Vacuum gauge (4) measures the vacuum pressure of the ventilation system. The ventilation system draws fumes from the asphalt through vents above the conveyor discharge area and exhausts the fumes into the ventilation section of the exhaust stack.
