Note: Apply clean engine oil to the female ends of the exhaust manifold (3) before assembly. Apply 2P-2333 High Temperature Sealer to the male ends of the exhaust manifolds (1) before assembly. Remove excess sealer from the assembled joint.

Section A-AUse the following procedure to tighten the hose clamps (2) :
Tighten the two hose clamps to 5 1 N m (45 9 lb in).
Again tighten the two hose clamps 10 1 N m (90 9 lb in).Note: Apply 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound to the threads of the taperlock studs. (4) Torque for 16 taperlock studs ... 35 5 N m (26 4 lb ft)
