Service Brake Pedal Released - Release the brake pedal to allow the machine to move, or increase ground speed.Use the service brake pedals and steering cluth when making turns. The left service brake pedal is used with the left steering clutch. The right service brake pedal is used with the right steering clutch.Parking Brake
Parking Brake - The parking brake is located on the left side of the dash of the machine. Push the service brake pedal (2) down and push the parking brake knob (1) in to apply the parking brake. Push the service brake pedal (2) down and pull out on the parking brake knob (1) to release the parking brake.Steering Clutches
Left Steering Clutch Lever (1) - Pull back the left steering clutch lever and push the left brake pedal down to steer the machine to the left. The farther back the lever is pulled the sharper the turn will be. Right Steering Clutch Lever (2) - Pull back the right steering clutch lever and push the right brake pedal down to steer the machine to the right. The farther back the lever is pulled the sharper the turn will be.Transmission Speed Control Lever
Transmission Speed Control Lever - The transmission speed control lever is located between the two steering clutch levers. The transmission speed control lever control the five forward speeds and four reverse speeds of the machine.Transmission Direction/Flywheel Clutch Lever
Transmission Direction Control
Transmission Direction/Flywheel Clutch Lever - The lever is located on the left side of the operator's seat. Forward (1) - Move the directional control lever to the far right and pull the lever back. The machine will travel FORWARD. Neutral (2) - Move the directional control lever to the center position for NEUTRAL. Reverse (3) - Move the directional control lever to the far left and pull the lever back. The machine will travel in REVERSE.Flywheel Clutch Control
Brake (4) - Move the flywheel clutch lever forward to engage the flywheel clutch brake. Use the flywheel clutch brake to stop the clutch before moving the transmission gear lever. Disengage (5) - Move the flywheel clutch lever back to the center position to disengage the flywheel clutch. Engage (6) - Move the flywheel clutch lever back to engage the flywheel clutch to move the machine.Do not engage the clutch unless the machine is ready to be moved. The machine can move, even with the transmission direction control lever or transmission speed control lever is in the NEUTRAL position. It is important that the machine is stopped before a transmission shift of any kind is made. With the machine stopped, engine idling and the transmission in NEUTRAL, engage the flywheel clutch brake. The flywheel clutch brake will stop the rotation of the transmission gears. With the gears stopped, a direction and speed change
