Assembly Procedure
Illustration 1 g06049824Note: DEF pump coolant connectors (21) and DEF pump connectors (22) must be installed in original location when removed. DEF pump coolant connectors (21) and DEF pump connectors (22) are not interchangeable.
Install O-ring seals. Install DEF pump coolant connectors (21) and DEF pump connectors (22).
Tighten DEF pump connectors (22) to a torque of 4.5 0.5 N m (40 4 lb in).
Tighten DEF pump coolant connectors (21) to a torque of 5.5 0.5 N m (48 4 lb in).

Install harness assembly (19) and cable straps (20).
Illustration 3 g06049812Note: Do not use an impact wrench to install bolts (16).
Install pump (18) in support assembly (17). Install bolts (16). Tighten bolts (16) to a torque of 19 2 N m (168 18 lb in).

Connect harness assembly (15).

Install bracket (12), bolts (14), and cable straps (13).

Install filter (11).

Install expansion device (10).

Install cover (9). Tighten cover (9) to a torque of 20 5 N m (177 44 lb in).

Install electronic control (6) and cable straps (7). Connect harness assembly (8).

Install control module (5) and bolts (4). Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 10 2 N m (89 18 lb in).

Install relays (3).

Install solenoid assembly (2) and connect harness assembly (1).End By:a. Install the diesel exhaust fluid module.
